Latest update - Middle East disruption

Following the ongoing situation in the Middle East, we want to reassure our guests that your safety and wellbeing are – and always will be – our top priority. We’re closely monitoring developments and continue to follow the latest guidance from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). At the same time, we’re working closely with our airline and operational partners to make sure travel arrangements are carefully managed and we’re responding promptly to any updates. As always, we’re here for you. We’re on hand with 24/7 operational support, and all of our tours are accompanied by Riviera representatives in destination – so there’s always someone on hand to help. If your holiday is affected, we’ll contact you directly to talk through your travel arrangements and next steps. If you are due to travel and haven’t heard from us, there’s no need to take action at this time – we’ll be in touch as soon as possible if there’s anything you need to know.

River Cruises in Spain

Spain’s culture is as diverse and engaging as its many different historic regions and cities.

Spain has two rivers for river cruising - the Douro and the Guadalquivir. Although we don't currently sail in Spain, guests on our river cruises in Portugal, will enjoy a fascinating visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site city of Salamanca, one of Spain's most historic treasures. Salamanca is home to one of Europe’s oldest universities, two of its finest cathedrals, Spain’s finest city square and even the Inquisition! The captain will moor on the banks of the Douro and then we'll transfer by coach to the city, enjoying views of the vast pastures, rugged mountains and fertile plains of the Spanish countryside.
