Travel solo, yet never alone

The Riviera holiday begins from your departure point

The Tour Manager will meet you at the airport (or Eurostar station), check in and travel there with you. Where this isn’t possible, a Riviera team member will greet you at the airport, help you check in and introduce you to other members in the group.

Less is more with small group sizes

The maximum group size of our solo tours is just 25 people. This gives a more intimate and personalised experience. For ocean and river cruising, it depends on your ship size. Our yacht cruises having a maximum of just 19 cabins, so just 19 guests!

More about our solo tours to Vietnam

Vietnamese culture has been shaped by a complex history of centuries of dynasties, colonial rule and conflict. Its multiple occupations have resulted in a collision of influences from France and China in its architecture. In the capital, Hanoi, you'll admire the charming, pastel-coloured French colonial buildings alongside narrow streets with crooked buildings adorned with lanterns - the sights are best enjoyed from the back of a rickshaw! Vietnam's imperial city, Hue, stands testament to its royal legacy with temples, palaces and pagodas throughout the city. The Citadel, the former residence of the royal family, was the administrative hub of the royal court and, today, it's a major attraction in the city. While Ho Chi Minh City - formerly Saigon - is a constantly evolving, high-octane city that has retained its character in its French-colonial architecture, flourishing markets and peaceful temples. Ho Chi Minh is especially interesting to those intrigued by the Vietnam War, particularly sites like the Cu Chi Tunnels, dug by Viet Cong soldiers during the Vietnam War.

Vietnam is home to a diverse array of landscapes from mountains, lush rice paddies and pristine beaches, but the greatest natural wonder in this already beautiful country is, without a doubt, Ha Long Bay. Around 300 towering limestone pillars and tiny islets topped by forests rise from its emerald water, and wind- and wave-eroded grottoes line. The area has an ethereal beauty that seems to have been plucked from fantasy.

You can explore all this and more in the company of like-minded solo explorers on our solo tours. Travelling solo but never alone (unless you want to be). You can get to know your fellow travellers over welcome drinks and dinner hosted by your expert Tour Manager, who'll help break the ice and make introductions. Our solo tour to Vietnam ends with five days of exploring Cambodia, combining two fascinating countries into one incredible adventure.
