Our Finland tours can help you experience one of Europe’s most progressive countries without the stress and strain of organising everything yourself.
Finland is uniquely beautiful and surrounded by ethereal, unspoilt forests and miles of Lapland wilderness. Tours of Finland provide ample opportunity to see this peaceful, graceful country in its best light.
All of our Finland tours go to Helsinki, the capital of Finland. Helsinki has a minimalist, cosy Nordic feel that’s more relaxed than most cities, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty to do there. Helsinki sits on an archipelago of over 300 islands and, if you’re the adventurous type, you can kayak, bike or ferry around the coast and islands to experience more of the beautiful landscape. It’s also home to the Suomenlinna Fortress – a fantastic UNESCO World Heritage site that began construction in the mid-18th century.
The city is considered a design capital, home to its own dedicated design district and some of Finland’s most famous designers. Even public spaces have a modern, sleek aesthetic, making the city a fascinating place to visit. Given its vibrant nature, any Finland tour wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the capital.

Find out more about our fascinating escorted tour of Helsinki, Tallinn, and Riga, spanning across three different countries with fascinating histories and heritage; Finland, Estonia and Latvia.
The respected German architect, Carl Ludvig Engel, was tasked with redeveloping the city, and his Neo-Classical influence played a significant role in shaping its aesthetics, giving Helsinki fine buildings to cement its new position of importance. Until then, Helsinki had struggled to find its feet, since being established first as a trade town to rival Estonian neighbour, Tallinn, by King Gustav I of Sweden in the 16th century. While it’s difficult to imagine it as a ‘beach resort’, Helsinki does actually boast dozens of beaches lining the Baltic Sea, as Finland is an archipelago with some 330 islands. Six of these islands have the impressive Suomenlinna Fortress spread across them, still inhabited by a small community who occupy buildings designed to blend into the beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. On our tour of Helsinki, you will spend time discovering the secrets of Suomenlinna and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere that shrouds the fortress.
