The ship will also be at anchor for all smaller ports during the itinerary, requiring guests to board local boats in order to reach the shore for excursions. As transport at the places visited is limited, you will be travelling in various types of vehicles including local tuk-tuks, small wooden boats etc. This will provide you with an authentic experience, but please note there can be steps of varying degrees to board such vehicles and to alight and disembark boats. In the tropics temperatures and humidity levels are quite high for most of the year.
