We understand that reports of low water levels across parts of Europe’s river network may be causing concern, particularly for those of you travelling on the Rhine and Danube. Water levels are currently at historic low points in some areas and can change quickly, sometimes from one day or even one hour to the next.
This means the position for individual sailings may continue to develop right up until departure and, occasionally, during the cruise itself.
Our teams in the UK and across Europe are monitoring conditions continuously, working closely with our captains, nautical teams, and local partners. We review every sailing individually, with your safety, comfort and overall holiday experience at the heart of every decision.
Currently, our cruises continue to operate, although itineraries are being adapted where necessary. This may include adjustments to sailing schedules, excursions or mooring locations, and in some cases carefully coordinated ship swaps to help you continue your holiday with as little disruption as possible.
For departures up to 5th August, our team is contacting guests personally in departure-date order.
For departures after 5th August, you will begin receiving email updates approximately fourteen days and seven days before departure. We will then contact you around 24 to 48 hours before departure to explain the latest position, any expected changes and the options available. If you have booked via a travel agent, they will share this information with you.
For now, there is nothing you need to do. We will continue to monitor conditions closely and will keep you updated if anything changes that may affect your holiday. Please be assured that your safety, comfort, and overall experience remain our absolute priority.
