Meet Daniel Beloh, one of our Tour Managers
Meet Daniel Beloh, Tour Manager for our Japan tours
Why do guests love our long-haul Riviera tours? What do they love the most?
From all my interactions with our guests who have been long time guests with Riviera and they keep choosing us as their company of choice for long haul is that for them Riviera is a synonym for organization and hassle free travel. They "know" that they will be taken care of and can enjoy their experience without worrying about day to day details, we are there to provide that service. Also I hear a lot about the quality of our customer support team and they love the gave whenever they call they speak to a person and not a calling service with "leave a message".
How do Riviera make these tours so special for guests?
We in Riviera believe that you should focus on enjoyment of the tour and all the "crossing the T's and dotting the I's is our job. Ideally on our tours you get a well structured vacation without daily hassle of organization so you can focus on what matter to most to you. Creating new memories(be it listening a guest playing a piano in Kyoto station while the group listens to having a Karaoke night with your group if you feel like it. It IS your vacation after all.
What’s your favourite excursion and why?
Wow, this is really a hard one I find something amazing on any tour I do especially long haul. If I had to choose I would say Kyoto on our Best of Japan tour. For four days you are in the old imperial capitol visiting living history but even then I would say and what I do suggest to all my guests is go and explore and do not hesitate to find a local small restaurant even if they do not speak English and go sit and you will have a wonderful time. But excursion-wise I would mention Nara Park (you pet deers as they walk by, and if you bow to them they bow back!).
Favourite place to visit?
Definitely Kyoto or Hiroshima on Japan tour.
Favourite memory on a Riviera tour?
Earlier this year had a guest who is an organ player and who offered to play for us the free play piano in Kyoto train station. Andrew was amazing and most of the group went to see him not counting all the locals that started gathering as he played. And in the background you could see Kyoto Tower when it lighted up as the sun was setting. Amazing experience!
