The classic Hotel Simplon is set in its own centuries-old parkland. It has an elegant, pink façade, which reflects the local marble for which the town is famous.

There’s an outdoor pool in the hotel’s landscaped gardens, with palm trees and other green foliage dotted around the pool’s decking area, alongside the sun loungers and umbrellas. Head through the tunnel which doubles as an art gallery, to the Hotel Dino, the sister hotel, to use the gym and spa (local charges may be applicable).

The restaurant is light and airy, with chandeliers overhead and large windows offering lovely views of the greenery of the park, the pool and beautiful Lake Maggiore itself. The cosy bar is the perfect setting to enjoy a drink in the evening, with a terrace area with views of the park and pool.

The rooms are decorated to a high standard and all feature parquet flooring and an en suite bathroom, air-conditioning, complimentary Wi-Fi, a safe, TV and minibar(local charges apply).

You can reach the lakeside in just a few minutes on foot to take a stroll and admire the views or soak up the atmosphere with a drink in a nearby café.
